Driver Eligibility

The driver eligibility requirements listed herein are minimum requirements for all drivers employed, contracted or hired by Spader Freight Service.

1. Age: 24 years

2. One year's experience as a driver of Class A commercial motor vehicles, pulling van trailers.

3. Possession of a valid CDL Class A driver's license issued by the resident state of the driver.

4. No record of a driver's license FRA or non-moving violation suspension or revocation for more than 30 days.

5. No record of any type of driver's license suspension.

6. No record of citation or conviction for any of the violations listed below in any motor vehicle:
   
   a.) Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
   b.) Refusal to take a test required by an implied consent or
        similar law.
   c.) Violation of an "open container" or similar statute.
   d.) Violation arising in connection with a fatal accident.
   e.) Driving while under suspension or revocation.
   f.) Leaving the scene of the accident.
   g.) Speed exhibition, contest or drag racing.
   h.) Use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony.
   i.) Reckless driving or careless endangerment.
   j.) Operating a motor vehicle without the permission of the
       owner.
   k.) Fleeing or eluding a police officer.
   l.) Excessive speeding, involving any single offense for any speed
       of 15 MPH or more above the posted speed limit.
   m.) Improper or erratic lane changes.
   n.) Following the vehicle ahead too closely.
    

7. No record of convictions for moving violations (excluding those listed in #6), accidents or incidents in any motor vehicle (personal or commercial), that exceeds the following:
   
   a.) 1 preventable accident in the preceding 36 months.
   b.) 3 moving violations in the preceding 36 months.
   c.) 1 moving violation or minor preventable incident of equipment
       damage in the preceding 36 months.
   d.) Any combination of 3 moving violations and/or minor preventable
        incidents of equipment damage in the preceding 36 months.
   e.) A minor preventable incident of equipment damage shall be
       defined as damage that does not exceed $2,000.
